Investigating the protective effect of Satureja khuzestanica Jamzad essential oil and carvacrol on lipid peroxidation, antioxidant enzymes, glutathione, and total antioxidant capacity in the plasma of diabetic rats

Background: Type 2 diabetes is one of the main causes death and its treatment clinical priorities. This study aimed to evaluate effect Satureja khuzistanica essential oil (SKEO) carvacrol on lipid peroxidation index (MDA), plasma total antioxidant capacity (TAC), also activity enzymes. Materials Methods: The was experimental in nature. Diabetes induced male Wistar rats by intraperitoneal injection 70 mg/kg alloxan. were randomly divided into 5 groups 10.
